According to a classical hebrew review the Bible was compile about 1500 years ago or more. With Hebrew being such a deep and graphic language it is hard to get a full translation and interpretation in just one English translation. So the alternative to that would be a armful of versions and translations to read in its original language. You can read it the way Moses , Josiah, Ezra, and Jesus read it. When you learn biblical hebrew online you will see that it consists of a very small vocabulary.Many of these will occur one time or are proper names and can be looked up if necessary. Hebrew does not have formal recognizable cases and simple word order that can be rearranged for emphasis. Hebrew learning can be quickly mastered although reading is done right to left. The alphabet is just 22 letters which consists of all consonants and all one case. There are additional vowel marks above and below the constants are not needed for advanced reading because they were not added until after the New Testament Era. All of the Hebrew letters represent a pictographic symbol. An example of that would be Beth (as in Bethlehem “house of bread”) as a image of a house or tent and the letter name would be a Hebrew word for “house”.

Some of the Biblical Hebrew names are common words also. These would be names such as Adam which means “ruddy,red”. The traditional greeting shalom is far more meaningful than “hello” it contains a whole word picture. The word picture represents health, welfare, aid, and friendship.
In order to learn biblical hebrew online you do not have to have any special foreign or a Biblical language study. But if you do that would be a plus for you. The goal of the online course is to make it simply for the student to learn the Hebrew language. The method that is used should be understandable to a 9 year old child. Once the reading Hebrew is mastered you might want to know how to learn to speak hebrew. By knowing how to read it the process of learning how to speak it would be easier.
